A graduate of Occidental College in 1959 with an A.B. degree and the University of San Diego in 1962 with a Juris Doctorate, Peter R. Palermo has remarkable legal expertise as a practicing attorney. Prior to joining the firm in 1965, Mr. Palermo was an estate tax attorney for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

As a partner of Palermo, Barbaro, Chinen & Pitzer, Mr. Palermo’s practice includes probate, trust administration, estate planning, estate and gift taxation, trust litigation and probate litigation.

An active member in the Pasadena Bar Association, Mr. Palermo served as Trustee from 1986-1989. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the State Bar of California (Section on: Probate and Trust; Tax). He has also served as past president for the Pasadena YMCA, La Canada Kiwanis Club, Pasadena Quarterbacks Club, and the Pasadena Y's Men's Club. Mr. Palermo is also an Elder and Chair of the Endowment Committee at the La Canada Presbyterian Church and an Honorary Member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association.

His hobbies include traveling, sports and reading.
